Amanda is a counsellor-in-training who offers a warm, thoughtful and compassionate space for adults to explore the experiences that may be affecting their wellbeing. Having lived and worked in both the UK and Hong Kong, she understands that life can involve significant change, cultural adjustment, competing responsibilities and questions about identity, belonging and direction.
With over 25 years of experience in education and leadership, Amanda brings a strong understanding of relationships, emotional wellbeing, life transitions and the pressures of caring for others. Her approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity and respect for each person’s unique story. She believes that being listened to without judgement can help people understand themselves more fully, recognise their strengths and move towards meaningful change.
Amanda draws on humanistic, person-centred principles, as well as her experience of mindfulness, creativity and therapeutic play skills. She is particularly interested in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, relationship or family difficulties, transitions, low confidence, and a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. She also welcomes parents who would like space to reflect on family relationships, parenting pressures, or how best to support their child’s emotional wellbeing. Amanda helps clients develop greater self-understanding, self-compassion and connection to what matters most to them.
