Melanie is a counsellor-in-training at Monash University, bringing a caring and compassionate integrative approach informed by person-centred and other therapies. In sessions, she creates a supportive space where you will feel heard, understood, and encouraged to reconnect with what matters most to you. Melanie’s goal is to help you regain a sense of agency, power, and purpose by restoring connection with your values and strengthening emotional wellbeing.
Melanie’s interest in counselling has been shaped by both professional and volunteering experience. After many years working in marketing, she moved into roles that brought her closer to communities—volunteering in schools and with charitable organisations. These experiences have helped her develop practical and empathic skills for helping, curiosity, and an appreciation for the different contexts people navigate in everyday life.
Melanie also draws on her personal background, growing up in Scotland where her passion for language and communication first emerged. Living in France and now in Hong Kong has strengthened her multicultural perspective and continues to inform the way she connects with others—through openness, respect, and authenticity.
