Melissa is a Hong Kong and England and Wales qualified lawyer. She is also a mediator and has worked in the financial services industry before she joined a statutory body. Her time in the legal and finance sectors gives her insight into work-related issues, such as stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, burnout and depression. Melissa enjoys working with adults on professional development and, in particular, helping working women develop a healthy and balanced approach to career progression. Melissa believes in a person-centred approach to therapy, tailoring each session to the needs of each client. The aim is to work with clients to untangle issues that may be holding them back and to formulate a clear path towards achieving their goals.
Melissa has spent most of her life in Hong Kong and considers this home. She studied in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore and, having travelled extensively for work, Melissa is also familiar with issues that both children and adults face as a result of relocation. She is passionate about helping clients harness their own strengths to navigate major transitions.
Melissa is also an advocate for LGBTQ rights in Hong Kong and would love to offer a safe and confidential space to discuss any issues you may have.
Melissa can provide counselling services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
