Master of Counselling Student, Monash University, HK.
Languages: English & Cantonese.
Life can be stormy at times and we can get lost in it. No matter what your struggles are, be hopeful, storms will eventually subside. Melody truly believes that taking up the Master of Counselling program at a mature age is much more beneficial after having experienced the many ups and downs in life and having learned from the successes and mistakes that we all make. She gave up a career in the fashion industry to be a full-time mother in 2000. The journey of parenting and the experiences of raising an atypical child made her strong and empathetic to other parents who are going through similar paths. Her children are now attending universities in the US and Canada. She is also a mentor for 15 years. Her mentees are now in their 30s and working as professionals in Hong Kong.
Melody is especially passionate about working with adolescents, young adults and parents. She believes everyone needs to offload built up stresses and unhelpful thoughts in order to maintain a healthy balanced mental wellness. In counselling approaches, she is interested in collaborating different aspects of evidence-based therapies to help you to improve your life by recognising your strengths, areas of growth, and enlightenment to a better healthier being. Melody offers counselling sessions in both English and Cantonese. She looks forward to helping you transition forward to achieve a better and more fulfilling life.
Melody is available for Low-Cost Counselling (LCC) sessions in English and Cantonese. Find out more here.
