As a counsellor, I am committed to helping people make positive changes in their lives. I understand that day to day challenges can be overwhelming. I also understand that stressful events can impact our lives in a significant way. My role is to help with processing and responding to these situations.
I am looking to work with clients who are suffering from anxiety, stress and depression in a variety of settings. I also have experience in grief and bereavement and this is a particular space I am passionate about. As a mother of two young children, I have a good understanding of the challenges parents and couples face and I can help navigate individuals or couples through these difficulties.
I am an advocate of person-centred therapy and building an open and safe relationship with my client. I believe in traditional methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy, combined with more current approaches such as Mindfulness. I believe in building resilience and working with clients to create their own tools that they can utilise throughout their lifetime.
Mental health and wellbeing are important areas of our lives that need to be addressed on a daily basis. I look forward to working with individuals to make their mental health a priority and understand that it doesn’t always have to be so hard.
