Yahamali is a counsellor-in-training with nearly two decades of corporate experience in the construction industry, spanning engineering, sales, and marketing leadership roles across Asia. Having lived in Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, she brings a deep understanding of the challenges that come with uprooting, adapting, and redefining oneself in cross-cultural environments. These experiences inform how she works with clients to navigate the tensions between who they want to be and what the world expects of them.

Yahamali’s therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic principles, a belief in each person’s capacity for growth, and offering genuine warmth, empathy, and unconditional regard. She draws on a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), to help clients develop lasting skills to confidently navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Yahamali offers support to adults navigating work-related stress, anxiety and burnout, life transitions, values conflicts, and questions of identity and belonging.
